What is NITHYA S-Line Smooth?

NITHYA S-Line Smooth is a specialist preparation for needle mesotherapy produced by Euroresearch Srl, combining Argireline® (Hexapeptide-8) — a peptide that relaxes facial muscles, type I atelocollagen — a collagen biostimulator, and an amino acid complex. It is the only product in the NITHYA line combining myorelaxant action with simultaneous collagen biostimulation.

The 5×5 ml pack is the most popular choice for clinics running regular S-Line Smooth programmes — it contains a complete treatment cycle (4–6 sessions) in one pack, with a lower unit cost than the 1×5 ml version.

Argireline® (Hexapeptide-8) – mechanism of action at the SNARE level

Argireline® is a synthetic analogue of the N-terminus of SNAP-25 protein — a key component of the SNARE complex responsible for acetylcholine release at the neuromuscular junction. The mechanism is based on competitive SNARE complex inhibition:

• Argireline® competes with SNAP-25 for its position in the SNARE complex, disrupting its formation and reducing acetylcholine release.
• Effect: partial, reversible reduction of facial muscle contraction strength — wrinkles become shallower, new ones form more slowly.
• Mechanism fundamentally different from botulinum toxin — BoNT-A permanently cleaves SNAP-25 (frozen face), Argireline® acts reversibly, without paralysis, with a natural result.

The key advantage of S-Line Smooth: Argireline® delivered directly into the dermis via needle mesotherapy has incomparably higher bioavailability than in topical cosmetics — the effect is visible after just 2–3 sessions.

Type I atelocollagen and amino acid complex – structural rebuilding

Type I atelocollagen is the same class of substance as in the acclaimed NITHYA Type I Collagen biostimulator. It activates fibroblasts through mechanotransduction and stimulates neocollagenogenesis. The amino acid complex provides fibroblasts with direct building blocks for collagen chain synthesis.

S-Line Smooth vs S-Line Shield – how do they differ?

• NITHYA S-Line Shield (succinic acid + HA) — cellular metabolism level: activates Krebs cycle, increases ATP, antioxidant. Indicated for dull skin, under-eye circles, hypoxia.
• NITHYA S-Line Smooth (Argireline® + atelocollagen + amino acids) — neuromuscular and structural level: relaxes facial muscles, rebuilds collagen matrix. Indicated for expression wrinkles and as a botulinum toxin alternative.

FAQ – questions and answers

How many sessions does the 5×5 ml pack cover?

The 5×5 ml pack contains 5 full sessions (1 vial = 1 treatment). The standard basic cycle is 4–6 sessions — the pack covers a complete treatment cycle for one patient, or individual sessions for several different patients.

Is Argireline® the same as botulinum toxin (botox)?

No. BoNT-A irreversibly cleaves SNAP-25, completely blocking acetylcholine release — the "frozen face" effect for 3–6 months. Argireline® works reversibly through competitive SNARE inhibition — the effect is gentler, more natural and gradually fades. A safe, non-toxic alternative for patients afraid of botulinum toxin or with contraindications to it.

When are the results visible?

Initial smoothing of expression wrinkles is visible after 2–3 sessions. The full effect of muscle relaxation and collagen rebuilding builds throughout the full 4–6 session cycle.

Can S-Line Smooth be combined with other Nithya products?

Yes. Recommended combined protocols: S-Line Smooth + NITHYA Type I Collagen (Smooth relaxes muscles, collagen rebuilds the deep matrix) or S-Line Smooth + S-Line Shield (Smooth smooths expression wrinkles, Shield activates metabolism and hydrates).

Can S-Line Smooth be used during dermapen treatment?

Yes — suitable for both needle and microneedling (dermapen) mesotherapy. Needle mesotherapy is the primary recommended technique due to higher Argireline® delivery near neuromuscular junctions.
