What is Exodora Exosomes Hair Complex?
Exodora Exosomes Hair Complex is a specialist trichological preparation for scalp mesotherapy, developed by Euroresearch Srl as a sister product to Exodora Dermal Complex. While Dermal Complex is dedicated to facial, neck and décolletage skin, Hair Complex is exclusively for the scalp — the formula is optimised for the unique biological environment of the hair follicle and its specific regenerative needs.
Unlike Dermal Complex, Hair Complex does not contain Oryza sativa or hyaluronic acid. Instead it adds nucleotides (support for cell division) and minerals and coenzymes (energy metabolism of dermal papilla cells) — substances particularly important for the actively dividing cells of the hair follicle.
Hair follicle biology – why can exosomes help?
The hair follicle is an exceptionally metabolically active structure — among the most rapidly dividing cells in the human body. Its life cycle consists of three phases:
- Anagen (growth phase): lasts 2–7 years for scalp hair. Dermal papilla cells actively divide and produce keratin. This is the phase we want to prolong.
- Catagen (transitional phase): ~2 weeks. The follicle shrinks, cell division ceases.
- Telogen (resting phase): 3–4 months. The hair falls out and is replaced by a new one — or not, in cases of trichological problems.
Telogen effluvium — the most common form of hair loss — involves premature shifting of too many follicles into the telogen phase before completing a full anagen. Houttuynia cordata exosomes act on dermal papilla cells (DP) through specific miRNAs that modulate growth factor pathways controlling anagen phase length.
Plant Houttuynia cordata exosomes – trichological mechanism
Houttuynia cordata exosomes activate pathways of three key growth factors in dermal papilla cells:
- IGF-1 (Insulin-like Growth Factor 1) — stimulates dermal papilla cell proliferation and extends the anagen phase. One of the most important molecular stimulators of hair growth.
- KGF (Keratinocyte Growth Factor / FGF-7) — stimulates keratinocytes to produce keratin, increases hair shaft thickness and strengthens hair structure.
- HGF (Hepatocyte Growth Factor) — promotes angiogenesis in the tissues surrounding the follicle, improving microcirculation and nutrient access to the dermal papilla.
Simultaneously, the exosomes exert anti-inflammatory action (NF-κB modulation) — scalp inflammation is one of the key factors accelerating hair loss and follicle miniaturisation.
Nucleotides, vitamins and minerals – composition dedicated to hair biology
Nucleotides are the building-block monomers of DNA and RNA — essential for actively dividing cells such as the follicular stem cells in the anagen phase. Intradermal nucleotide supplementation supports dermal papilla cell division and keratin synthesis.
Vitamins A, C, E and the B-complex provide:
- Vitamin A — regulation of keratinisation, proper differentiation of follicular epithelial cells.
- Vitamin C — collagen synthesis in the scalp, powerful antioxidation.
- Vitamin E — antioxidant protection of cell membrane lipids.
- Biotin (B7), niacin (B3), pyridoxine (B6) — keratin metabolism, synthesis of sulphur amino acids (cysteine); biotin and niacin deficiencies are directly linked to hair loss.
Minerals and coenzymes (zinc, selenium, iron, CoQ10) complement the energy and protective needs of follicle cells — zinc and selenium are cofactors of antioxidant enzymes, iron is a key element of oxygen transport to the dermal papilla.

FAQ – questions and answers
How does Exodora Hair Complex differ from Dermal Complex?
These are two separately developed preparations for different areas. Dermal Complex is dedicated to facial, neck and décolletage skin — contains Oryza sativa + HA. Hair Complex is dedicated exclusively to the scalp — contains nucleotides, minerals, coenzymes and an extended vitamin complex, directly addressing hair follicle biology and the hair growth cycle. The formulas are not interchangeable.
Does Exodora Hair Complex work for androgenetic alopecia (AGA)?
Hair Complex is primarily dedicated to telogen effluvium and general follicle weakening. Androgenetic alopecia has a distinct mechanism (DHT receptor sensitivity) and requires therapies targeting that pathway (e.g. minoxidil, finasteride). Exosomes can be a supportive element in AGA therapy — improving microcirculation, strengthening follicles and reducing inflammation — but do not replace anti-androgenic therapies.
When are the results visible?
Reduced hair loss and improved scalp condition are visible after 4–6 weeks from the start of the course. A clear improvement in hair density and volume, reflecting new hairs entering the anagen phase, builds over 3–6 months from the completion of the cycle — the time needed for new hair to grow to a visible length.
Can Hair Complex be combined with other hair loss therapies?
Yes — Hair Complex combines well with: scalp mesotherapy cocktails, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), minoxidil, and post-transplant support after FUE/FUT hair transplants. As an exosomal booster after procedures, it accelerates healing and improves graft density.
Can Hair Complex be used following hair transplantation?
Yes — exosomal support after FUE/FUT transplants is one of the indications. Houttuynia cordata plant exosomes accelerate healing of micro-wounds, reduce inflammation and support graft uptake by improving the biological environment of the dermal papilla. Also available as a bundle: Exodora Dermal + Hair + Synerlift 5×5ml with a free training session.
This product may only be used by doctors, trichologists and cosmetologists trained in scalp mesotherapy and holding qualifications to perform injections. By purchasing this product you confirm that you hold the required professional qualifications.
